On Sunday 29th January, Most Rev. Paul Dempsey, Bishop of Achonry, presided at the Rite of Institution of Acolytes during the Seminary Retreat before the beginning of the second semester. Killian Heney (Cashel and Emly) and Jordan MacGabhann (Kilmore) received the Ministry of Acolyte together with Norvil Caguioa (Dublin) who is in formation for the Permanent Diaconate. Norvil's wife Antoinette and their family, and Deacon Noel Ryan (Dublin Diocesan Director of Diaconal Formation) joined the Seminary Community for Mass with the Rite of Institution of Acolytes on Sunday 29th January 2023.

Bishop Dempsey directed the Seminary Retreat before the opening of the Second Semester 2022-23 from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th January 2023.
