Outing to The Orchard Centre, Tinahely, Co. Wicklow during the Introductory Programme

Date

September 13th

Location

On Saturday 13th September, the newly-arrived seminarians, together with members of the Community of Formators had a very enjoyable day out while visiting The Orchard Centre in Tinahely, Co. Wicklow. A cup of tea and scone on arrival was followed by a very informative tour of the farm, including the state-of-the-art milking parlour, where 200 cows can be milked in under an hour! This was followed by a range of team-building activities, ranging from a blindfold wheelbarrow race to turf-stacking to tug-o'war to skittles to bale-rolling! Sincere thanks to the Hayden Family and staff for making us feel so welcome and for laying on a fantastic range of activities. Our day concluded with Mass in Coolfancy Church, Carnew, Co. Wicklow with members of the parish community.
