The Seminary Community was delighted to welcome 15 men who are actively discerning a vocation to the Diocesan Priesthood to the annual Come and See weekend organised by the Council for Vocations of the Irish Episcopal Conference. The three-day event gave the attendees the opportunity to have an experience of Seminary life, to meet with our resident seminarians and to pray for a deepening of their understanding of the Diocesan Priesthood in Ireland today. During the weekend, we were honoured to have the Pope St John Paul II Vocations Monstrance for two holy hours during which we reflected on St John Paul's teachings on the Priesthood in Pastores dabo vobis (1992) and Ecclesia de Eucharistia (2003). The grateful thanks of all present goes to Margo Geddie and Ann Zadansky from SERRA International in the US, a foundation based in Chicago which works to promote vocations to the Priesthood and Consecrated Life through the intercession of Pope St John Paul II.
