An Tánaiste Leo Varadkar TD visited St Patrick's College on Friday 14th January 2022, together with a number of MEPS and members of the Oireachtas. During the visit, the group visited the College Chapel, the Russell Library and the National Seminary. An Tánaiste is pictured in the College Chapel and meeting the Seminary Community in Renehan Hall. During his meeting with the seminarians, he thanked them and encouraged them on their journey of discernment. The Rector presented An Tánaiste with a copy of the seminary journal Síolta and thanked him for his visit. The President of the College, Rev. Prof. Michael Mullaney, presented An Tánaiste with a bronze penal cross, which was cast from one of the collection of penal crosses which is housed in the Russell Library.
