Both Maynooth University and St. Patrick's College Maynooth have introduced a range of Commuting measures designed to manage the use of our scarce parking resources by the campus community in a safe and efficient manner.
We strongly advise that you only commute by car to campus if you need to i.e. if you have no alternative mode of transport. Parking spaces are limited in numbers and as such we ask that you think of others who have no alternative but to use their car to commute to the campus.
Drivers on campus grounds are expected to adhere to the speed limit and to be constantly vigilant of pedestrians at all times.
The Campus Traffic management and Parking Policy for the 2021/2022 academic year will come into operation on Monday 27th September 2021 to include Designated Permit Parking and Pay and Display. This applies to all car park spaces on both the North and South Campuses.
Enforcement of this policy will apply between 08.30-17.00 hours, Monday-Friday during term time, and on any other days as may be required for operational reasons. Permit parking restrictions will cease to be enforced after Friday 3rd June 2022 for all parking spaces on the north and south campuses. Permits will not be required during study weeks or exam periods. However, please note that the assigned traffic management company will continue to patrol the campus during study weeks, exam periods and outside of term time for dangerous, illegal and inappropriate parking and will penalize any offending vehicles found in breach of The Traffic Management Policy.
Campus Management will not accept liability for any loss from or damage to any vehicle using the campus facilities, however caused. Users of the car parks do so entirely at their own risk and subject to this policy.
Restrictions on dangerous, illegal and inappropriate parking will be enforced throughout the year
