The traditional period for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is 18-25 January. These dates were proposed in 1908 to cover the days between the feasts of St Peter and St Paul, and therefore have a symbolic significance. As the Seminary Community was on leave during this period we dedicated this evening to praying for Christian Unity.
This year as part of our Ecumenical Evening Prayer the Rev. Daniel Nuzum was the invited preach the homily. Rev. Daniel is a Healthcare Chaplain at Cork University Hospital and Bon Secours Hospital since 2009. He is the Healthcare Chaplain Marymount University Hospital and Hospice since 2011; Rural Dean of Cork City since 2002 and Diocesan Ecumenical Officer since 2002.
